The Olive Open

Superfantastic partnered with Capital Developments to celebrate the near-completion of Olive Residences, a new residential landmark in North York. Instead of a traditional corporate event, we set out to spark the beginnings of a true community, bringing homeowners, agents, and neighbours together through culture, play, and a shared sense of place. To introduce life at Olive Residences, we transformed the Fairgrounds pickleball facility into The Olive Open, a Wimbledon-inspired playground where sport, local flavour, and elevated brand storytelling converged. Center court became the hub for connection as guests played, mingled, and discovered the character of the neighbourhood through a series of immersive touchpoints. To commemorate the evening, we created an event identity and limited-edition Olive Open capsule collection, with guests selecting pieces to take home. A live DJ, Capital Developments presentations, and playful activations rounded out a high-energy celebration that positioned Olive Residences not just as a building but as a lifestyle. Neighbourhood culture shaped the culinary program. A pop-up night market showcased local favourites such as Machi Machi Bubble Tea, Lucullus Bakery, and a curated mix of nearby cafés and restaurants, all within walking distance of the development. Guests explored new flavours, met future neighbours, and experienced the vibrancy of Olive's community firsthand. To tie the journey together, we designed an event passport, inviting guests to collect stamps as they moved through each activation, adding a sense of discovery and delight. The result: a memorable, immersive introduction to life at Olive Residences, rooted in community, connection, and the spirit of North York.
