The Bentway: Pulse Topology

A pop-up dining experience in an abandoned warehouse in celebration of Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s Pulse Topology.

In collaboration with The Bentway Conservancy, we transformed a warehouse space under the Gardiner Expressway into a popup dining experience for 60 guests to celebrate Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s light installation Pulse Topology. The venue posed many challenges including limited power, no running water or onsite washrooms. Partnering with a renowned local chef, we built a satellite kitchen just outside the venue to serve a selection of canapés and a 3-course tasting menu. Bar Chef, an institution in Canada, created an immersive cocktail bar featuring molecular cocktails. Guests were treated to an after-hours private viewing and exclusive discussion with the artist.
