Michael Biopic Premiere Party

In partnership with Cineplex Pictures, SUPERFANTASTIC produced the Canadian premiere afterparty for Michael, transforming an unassuming event space into a vibrant nightclub inspired by the music, fashion, and nightlife of the 1980s. Drawing from the era's unmistakable visual language, the space featured a rainbow illuminated dance floor, metallic tinsel, mirrored disco balls, dramatic lighting, and performers styled in custom 80s inspired looks. Canadian turntablist Skratch Bastid soundtracked the evening with a 45 minute set celebrating Michael Jackson's greatest hits, bringing guests together around a dance floor that became the heart of the experience. The experience extended beyond music through a series of interactive moments, including the Michael Embroidery Studio, where guests personalized custom hats with embroidered tributes to the artist. Inspired by iconic 80s fast food culture, the food program reimagined nostalgic favourites as elevated late night bites, including mini smash burgers, chicken nuggets with caviar, shrimp cocktail, and savoury smoked salmon cones designed to resemble soft serve ice cream. Together with immersive design details throughout the venue, every element celebrated the enduring influence of one of music's most iconic cultural figures.
