DODDS Brand Identity

A bold new identity to help DODDS maintain their GTA dominance.

DODDS has been a trusted name since 1958. Today, 67 years on, it stands as the largest and top-rated garage door company in the Greater Toronto Area. When the team approached our studio, they were looking to protect that legacy while setting the stage for ambitious growth—with a bold, future-facing brand to match. Through a collaborative strategy process, engaging leadership, sales, and installation teams, we helped DODDS uncover a clear brand voice: honest, down-to-earth, and genuinely reliable. It was about positioning them not just as a market leader, but as the go-to name people trust. Visually, we created a confident, straightforward identity system grounded in simplicity. Bold typography and a purposeful colour palette gives the brand the flexibility to communicate across a wide range of contexts while maintaining a fresh, contemporary feel. The modular logo system, inspired by garage door panels, references the practical, often unrefined design instincts of real-world users—where type is sized by feel, not rules—capturing the authenticity at the heart of the brand.
